Permanent marketing for European startups

Every channel on your current marketing spreadsheet bills you forever. Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, X — the moment you stop paying, you stop existing. CPM and CPC are the rent you pay for being seen, and the landlord raises it every year.

Pixelplots is a single one-time payment. Your logo, your URL, your animated GIF — placed on a 200×200 map of the European internet and owned forever. We've written this commitment down in the manifest; it's not a marketing promise, it's the entire product.

The math, briefly

A 5×5 block is €18 once. A single LinkedIn impression costs about €0.50 on a B2B campaign. At roughly 36 clicks from your tile, you've broken even — and the tile stays on the map. Everything after that is free distribution.

Who visits Pixelplots

Visitors arrive curious — about indie web, retro UI, pixel art, the question of what one of these maps looks like in 2026. It's a self-selected audience leaning indie maker, YC-adjacent, dev tool, design tool, web3 and climate tech. That won't suit a mass-market consumer brand. It suits founders shipping for other founders.

Why founders are buying Pixelplots

Stockholm B2B SaaS

An eight-person Swedish startup selling invoicing software. They bought a 4×4 block, animated their wordmark, and link it to a Klarna-friendly checkout page. The tile cost the same as four days of LinkedIn ads — and it's still there.

Munich infrastructure tool

A German B2B platform for Kubernetes observability. They placed a 3×3 tile near the centre of the map with their dashboard screenshot as the GIF. They use the click data to seed retargeting on more expensive channels.

Indie maker, Lisbon

One developer, one product, one tile. €0.90 for a 1×1 marker linking to a Notion landing page. They're not expecting a launch — they wanted to plant a flag and tell their friends.

What you get

  • A permanent tile at coordinates you choose, on the public map.
  • A clickable destination URL — your landing page, your product, your newsletter.
  • Animated GIF support (per-frame budget enforced; reasonable file size limits apply).
  • Click analytics in your management dashboard, scoped to your tile.
  • An ownership certificate (PDF) tied to your wallet or email login.
  • Management dashboard for editing the image, the URL and the title.
  • Rights to transfer or sell your tile — the coordinate is yours.

How to use it well

  • Block size: 2×2 or 3×3 reads cleanly at the default map zoom. A single 1×1 pixel is too small for most logos — it's a marker, not a banner.
  • Use an animated GIF. In tests on similar pixel-ad sites, animation lifts click-through by roughly 4×.
  • Link to a specific landing page, not your homepage. Use UTM parameters so you can track Pixelplots traffic alongside your paid channels.
  • Keep the title short — under 30 characters. It appears in the leaderboard and on hover.

Pick your coordinate

Tiles start at €0.90. The map fills from the centre outward, so the desirable coordinates are claimed first. There's no urgency rhetoric here — but the geometry is unforgiving.
